General Information & Wording Etiquette
Wording - Wedding Invitations, Evening Invitations, Reply Cards, and Thank You Cards, may all be printed in your choice of wording, ink colours in both flat and raised ink and lettering styles. Orders of Service/Orders of the Day are printed in flat ink only. We recommend that these are printed in black ink. The first page only is in the typestyle of your choice, the remainder of the pages are in a standard typestyle for ease of reading. We have provided a number of suggested wordings for all our stationery items or you may write your own wording at no extra cost.
Please note that in some cases your personalisation details are printed directly onto the card, and in other cases your details are printed onto an insert which is attached to the inside of the card. If you are unsure of which applies to the particular set of stationery that you are ordering, please check with us before ordering.

Envelopes - Envelopes are provided with all Wedding Invitations, Evening Invitations, and Thank You Cards. Reply Cards include envelopes flat printed in black ink with the return address on the front at no extra charge (apart from the Lantz range ONLY, there is an additional charge for this service of £25.00).
Quantities - There is a minimum order quantity of 20 and thereafter in multiples of 10.
Can't see the design you like - As albums are always being updated and new ones are coming out, it is very difficult to show absolutely every design that is available. If you have seen an invitation that you like elsewhere by either CCA, Fine Impressions, Collisons or Lantz, then so long as it has not been discontinued, we should be able to get it for you. Please contact us to discuss.
The personalised stationery items available include:
Save the Date Cards
These are a particularly good idea to send out if you are getting married during the holiday season when people are likely to be away or to send to guests coming from abroad so that it gives them enough time to make travel and hotel arrangements. They can be sent out up to a year in advance.
Wedding Invitations
To invite guests to the ceremony itself and reception and/or party afterwards. Send to each guest or family at least 6-8 weeks before the wedding to allow plenty of time for replies to arrive.
Evening Invitation
To invite guests to the evening reception or party, who may not be going to the wedding ceremony itself.
To invite guests to the party at home following a wedding overseas.
Send to each guest or family at least 6-8 weeks before the wedding to allow plenty of time for replies to arrive.
Wedding Announcements
To inform a wider circle of friends and relatives of the ceremony following small private weddings or weddings abroad.
Reply cards
These encourage a quick response. They make it so much easier and quicker for your guests to let you know if they can accept your invitation. Envelopes are provided, printed with the reply name, address and post code in flat black ink. Reply cards can be sent with your Day and Evening Invitations.
Orders of Service
If you are to be married in church, each guest is normally given an Order of Service. Most Brides order one per person but couples can share if you want them to. Obviously very young children will not require an Order of Service, but older children might appreciate the fact that they have not been forgotten. The Order of Service ensures that they can follow the order of events for the ceremony. Please check the details of the service, including hymns and music with the priest or minister before ordering your stationery. This should be done at least six weeks before the wedding. Please note, it is often quite useful to have a few extra Orders of Service for the choir, clergy and extra guests such as work colleagues who may not have been invited to the ceremony but have come to the church to see the wedding.
Blessing of the Marriage
Have your Order of Service created with a specific Blessing wording.
For weddings that have not taken place in a church or other religious establishment but are blessed formally.
Orders of the Day
These are for civil ceremonies that are not taking place in church. They provide a special memento, guiding your family and friends through the events you have planned for your special day. Orders of the Day can be placed on each seat, or they can be handed to your guests as they arrive at the ceremony venue. We recommend that you order your Order of the Day approximately six weeks before your wedding. Orders of the Day are only available with some sets of stationery in the range. Please see the individual sets for details.
Place Cards
Most ranges include place cards. These are useful for guests to find their places at the reception. All place cards can be printed with the first names of the bridal couple in the typeface shown on each sample. These cards provide a welcoming touch and can also make attractive mementos of your day.
Menus
These provide not only details of the menu itself, but also details of the order of events such as toasts and speeches which take place at the reception.. Please confirm all details with your reception venue before ordering your stationery. Menus are only available with some sets of stationery in the range. Please see the individualsets for details.
Table Plans
Set the style for your reception and seat your guests effortlessly with our printed table plans. They are printed on high quality card and come in two sizes, A2 (420 X 594mm) or A3 (297 X 420mm). Please note, if you intend having a table plan printed then you will need to let us have the names of all the guests at least 4 weeks prior to your wedding date, so please bear this in mind when putting an R.S.V.P. date.
Gifts and Keepsakes
You may also like to give your guests wedding cake to take home or wedding favours. We also do a range of personalised cake boxes, favour boxes and chiffon favour bags in a wide range of colours.
Serviettes
These come in a wide range of colours and can be personalised with the couple's names, the date of the wedding and a choice of motifs, in various foil colours.
